Filming Senior Living in Korea: Remote Collaboration and a Minimal Production Footprint

Moktan Productions recently completed a corporate film highlighting a strategic partnership between Invesco and CareDoc, focused on expanding senior housing and care services in South Korea.

Filmed at multiple senior living facilities outside Seoul, the project explored how design, care services, and daily life within these communities support residents while reflecting a broader vision for the future of senior housing in Korea.

One of the key aspects of this production was enabling real-time collaboration with the client overseas. During interviews, Moktan livestreamed the camera and audio feed directly from set, allowing the client and creative team abroad to conduct interviews through a video call while providing live direction and feedback. This workflow helped ensure that key voices and perspectives were captured exactly as intended, while making remote collaborators feel closely connected to the production on location.

Because filming took place inside an active senior care environment, the production approach prioritized discretion and respect for residents. The team worked with minimal lighting setups and relied primarily on natural light, keeping equipment footprints small and maintaining a calm atmosphere throughout the facility. This allowed filming to take place without disrupting daily routines while ensuring that residents and staff felt comfortable throughout the process.

Projects like this highlight the importance of thoughtful, adaptable production when filming in sensitive environments. By balancing technical execution with a minimal on-site presence, Moktan helped create a production environment that supported both the story and the people at the center of it.
